Rainer Diekamp

For over 40 years active as a musician, mainly Bass and harmony vocals.

After several practice-attempts in schoolbands, bassplayer with “Promenadenmischung” a folkband from Aachen, co-founder of “Aachener Folk Treffs”, an institution in the Aachen Music Scene in the 70s and 80s.

Switched to Bassfiddle, and being fully flabbergasted by a Bluegrass concert,  logicaly joined Aachen Bluegrassband “Blue Moon of Kentucky”.

During the Folk-Era sessionbassplayer for many projects in the 80s, when Bassplayers were rare.

After his Folk period came Cover-Rock with “On the road again”, for over 20 years well known in the Aachen area. After disbanding (old-age related: “hope to die before I get old”) done with carrying heavy PA Equipment and in 2011 back to the roots with various acoustic projects. Member of the Trio “Dreckpäck” since 2016.
